My favorite thing in the room is something you can't actually see....our fabulous iComfort mattress by Serta. Ever since grad school, my husband and I have been sleeping on a hand-me-down mattress. Don't get me wrong, we really appreciated it at the time, but one of the first big purchases we made for our new home was a quality mattress. We are now the proud owners of an adjustable iComfort Insight mattress by Serta like the one pictured below. It is made of gel memory foam and makes late night reading and working in bed extra comfortable.
Other than adding some personal photos and nick nacks on the dresser and night stands, I am calling this room done :)
Where We Got It:
Bedroom set, bench and accent chair from American Signature FurnitureArtwork from Homegoods
Lamps from Pier 1
Curtains from JCPenney
Bedding from Hotel Collection by Macys
Ceiling fan from Lowes
Mirror from Ikea
I love everything about this room! You definitely achieved a "hotel chic" feel. Would you say the mattress is worth the price? It looks really comfortable.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I thjink the mattress is totally worth it. Not sure about the adjustable frame though. The mattress by itself is reasonably priced compared to Temperpedic and other comparable brands.
DeleteVery Nice! I love the big mirror sitting on the floor, nice touch!
ReplyDeleteWe have the same mattress! It feels like a dream! It is so hard to get out of bed because it's so comfy! We didn't get the adjustable part though.
ReplyDeleteI love it! You've made some great decorative decisions throughout your home so I'm not surprised :)
ReplyDeleteI would say that you accomplished your goal. Your room is so classy! The iComfort is one of the mattresses we've been looking at because we desperately need a new one.
ReplyDeleteSaw the first pic and thought "yea! more pics from a model to steal ideas from." But no, this is your real home! Amazing! Totally love it, especially the colors.
ReplyDeleteThat is quite the compliment...you are too kind. THANK YOU :)
DeleteI thought the same thing when I saw the pictures. It definitely resembles a model.
DeleteAnd Ryan gave you a shout-out on their blog!
ReplyDeleteWe have that standing mirror as well. The lady that bought our townhouse was trying to get us to throw it into the deal when we went to closing:-)
ReplyDeleteWhen folks come over they always assume the mirror is the more expensive version from West Elm or Z Gallerie...they are shocked when I tell them it is from Ikea :)
DeleteI love your bedding set! You must look around and think, is this REALLY mine? It's like living in a model home.
ReplyDeleteLooks great! We have very similar tastes which are fabulous, I think its because we both city girls, lol--Ive lived in NY and Miami. Still trying to locate a duck egg blue upholstered storage bench or small chaise with straight dark wood legs (not ornate) for the end of the bed, let me know if you happen to trip across one.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I looked high and low for a fun colored ottoman but settled on a faux leather one that my little one will likely destroy...lol. But, I came across a lot of great places where you can customize an ottoman....JoAnn Fabrics, West Elm and Macy's all have great make your own options. Good luck!
DeleteMattresses now include a variety of new technologies and are frequently hybrids of two or more types of material. volvo
